Lunch Bag Lectures

Lunch Bag Lecture Fun

25th Annual Leslie Powell Lunch Bag Lecture Series
2012-2013

Had enough dull and boring lunch hours? Join us as we explore the arts, music, sciences and more!

Lunch Bag Lectures turn 25 this year and are still going strong. The Lunch Bag Crowd will examine subjects ranging from the arts, cultures, medicine and education to the humor of just living —all topics of great interest and importance. Children over the age of 14 welcome. Don’t miss a one!

The lectures are always free of charge and open to the public.

The noon Lunch Bag Lectures are held the third Thursday of the month from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Leslie Powell Gallery, 620 D Ave., in Lawton. The time gives you plenty of time to arrive and depart during the lunch hour, with maybe a minute or two to browse the gallery. The evening events are from 7 to 8 p.m. Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) Lunch Bag Lectures are the Friday before an LPO concert.

Bring your own lunch or try our refreshment and beverage table. Bring a friend or come alone and make a new pal -- there are no strangers at the Lunch Bag Lectures -- this is where the most interesting people in Lawton gather.

See the Calendar of Events for dates and topics. Come join us!
